Are you a junior player ages 5 to 11? Or do you know a player who plays red, orange or green ball tennis? If so, we have a a great opportunity for you. The Southern California Tennis Association Foundation is offering the Summer Camp Tennis Racket Scholarship Package. The deadline to apply has been extended to July 30. ⏲
Orange Tennis is Fun!
It’s an easy online application. Simply complete one of these sentences: “Tennis is fun for me because…” or “I want to learn to play tennis because…” Applicants must reside in Southern California and have a desire to learn and have fun. The scholarship package includes an age and stage appropriate racket and balls, a cinch backpack as well as other prizes. Up to twenty (20) scholarships will be awarded to deserving male and female applicants. 🎉
The Summer Tennis Racquet Scholarship Package is one of several the Southern California Tennis Association Foundation offers juniors up to age 18. We also have the Kramer Future Champions Scholarship Grant to give financial assistance for promising juniors to help pay for training, equipment, travel and more. The Kramer Grant is open in three cycles of February, June and October.
The Henry Talbert Summer Tennis Camp Scholarship Grant helps players ages 8 to 16 to attend a one-week summer camp. Finally, the SCTA Foundation has the Victor Stern Scholarship Grant for kids ages 12 to 18 who have a passion for tennis and want to pursue the sport at in high school and/or college. “Our mission is to make tennis accessible to every child who wants to learn to play tennis,” said Linda Milan, the Executive Director for the SCTA Foundation. “We like to start kids with brand new racquets and balls as well as other prizes that are the right size for each young athlete. Our passion is about #LaunchingKidsDreams and this is the first step.”
