Summer is almost here and the Southern California Tennis Association Foundation would like to help So Cal kids get ready for tennis fun in the sun. Now twenty (20) youth players ages 5 to 11 can apply to win a 2nd Annual Summer Tennis Racket Scholarship Package from May 1 through June 15th. The racket package will be awarded by June 30. Applications are available online: CLICK HERE.
The SCTA Foundation Tennis Package will include Net Generation age and stage appropriate rackets, balls, a cinch backpack and other prizes. Please complete one of the sentences:
“Tennis is FUN for me because…”
“I want to learn to play tennis because…”
Other scholarship criteria include a parent or guardian signature, provide a photo of the winner holding the Summer Tennis Racket Scholarship prizes, and a promise the applicant will personally use the equipment.
“We want to give kids the tools to have a great summer tennis experience,” said Linda Milan, the Executive Director of the SCTA Foundation. “This tennis package could make it fun for families to play at home on their driveways or give young players a fresh start for summer classes and camps at their local parks and clubs.”
